Warning: Spoilers ahead. Really big spoilers because I have a lot of FEELINGS about the last episode of season 3. I mean it, there are spoilers ALL OVER THE PLACE if you keep reading.
I held off a bit on watching the season 3 finale because I had this terrible feeling that things were going to go horribly, horribly wrong and I was pretty spot on about that now, wasn’t I?
My biggest complaint was the body count because, and I mean this with all my heart, DAMNIT HOLLYWOOD STOP KILLING OFF JAIME MURRAY. Just quit it right now. She and Allison Scagliotti are easily my favorite actors on the show and increasing the number of agents hunting artifacts was the best thing to happen to the show since… well, since they wrote the characters of Claudia and H.G Wells on to the show in the first place. But more than that, Jaime Murray seems to get killed off in just about every show I’ve ever seen her in and that needs to stop. Especially on Warehouse 13 because that is by far her awesomest roll yet. I mean, I suppose I could live with the other characters being offed because while I like Jinxy he wasn’t really developed to his full potential and I have difficulty caring about Mrs. Frederic because she’s always withholding vital information and so after a while it’s like “Yeesh lady, they’re YOUR agents so why do you keep trying to get them killed?”
As for the very ending of the show, I am definitely camping in the Team I Really Hope That Watch Rewinds Time So You Can Fix Things camp, but I did enjoy the explosion sequence because I really like it when things blow up. Oh, don’t look at me like that, you know you like it when things go BOOM too.
So, to wrap up what I want from season 4:
- BRING H.G WELLS BACK OR SUFFER MY VERBAL WRATH
- Captain Janeway, er, I mean Kate Mulgrew can stay too. That is just fine with me although I’m still a little “What? What? WHAT? She’s YOUR MOTHER? OH COME ON.”
- Enough of the Claudia Does Open Mic Night. I mean if she must make the musics happen at least let her write nerdy nerdtastic songs that she plays at the Warehouse to drive Arty batty. And if anyone is unclear on what I mean by “nerdy nerdtastic” please see DFTBA Records for plenty of awesome examples.
Also, I’m not going to bother with an actual recap when I can just whine about H.G Wells being absolutely vital to the awesomeness of the show, but there is a particularly amusing blow-by-blow recap over here.
